Our executive team is supported by a wider team of experts who draw on their experience of physics, engineering, optimisation and machine learning to find new ways to maximise the value of assets consumption or generation patterns.
This expertise means we are often asked to contribute to industry policy by government departments such as BEIS and energy regulators such as OFGEM and are regularly asked to speak at high profile energy industry events.
Peter sits on a number of public-private energy technology Boards (including ESC and ERP), has a history of successful fund raising, was CEO of an Aim-listed distributed generation company and has a PhD in physics from Oxford. This background contributes a strong business and commercial competence to Origami’s leadership team to match the proven technical and entrepreneurial capabilities.
Oliver has held director-level technical and operational roles in the energy technology sector. He has been responsible for the development and commercialisation of products including power management solutions and high current remote disconnect smart meters. An experienced PRINCE2 Practitioner, Oliver has managed major product developments from initial paper concepts through to deployment in volumes of over 100,000 units per month, including management of local and global supply chains.
Spencer has had over 25 years’ experience within the telecoms and energy sectors. Before joining Origami Energy in 2016 Spencer was CEO of Energy Analytics company ONZO and prior to that VP of Energy Management at Elster where he led an international team responsible for sales, consultancy and service operations. Spencer began his career in the energy industry working for Yorkshire Electricity. Following this he joined Nokia where he held a number of senior leadership roles in sales, solutions and service in Asia and Europe, most recently as Head of Global Service Sales, where he was responsible for strategy, business development, sales and key customer relationships in markets across Europe and Africa.
Günther brings extensive experience from various senior positions he has held in the energy trading industry. Until recently he was responsible for the structuring, pricing and hedging of the Power Purchase Agreement portfolio of Statkraft UK Ltd. as their leading Portfolio Manager. He hedged the volume and price risks by actively trading UK Power in the long term wholesales and over-the-counter market. In his previous role he and his team developed a battery optimisation platform.
Jonathan is an experienced finance professional, with a depth of experience in Corporate Finance, M&A and Strategy across the Energy, Technology, Financial Services and Telecommunications industries. Jonathan’s career has included work for Openet, CIT Group, Cable & Wireless, UBS (energy analyst) and KPMG.
